Réunion
Réunion, a French overseas department in the Indian Ocean, is a volcanic island with spectacular scenery: three great cirques, the Piton des Neiges and the Piton de la Fournaise, one of the world's most active volcanoes. Its national park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

A highly active volcano topped by the Dolomieu crater. The trail across the caldera starts at the Pas de Bellecombe.

A cirque ringed by sheer walls, known for its hot springs and its road of hundreds of bends.

A cirque with no roads, reachable only on foot or by helicopter, dotted with tiny hamlets and hikers' lodges.

The greenest and wettest cirque, with dozens of waterfalls such as the Voile de la Mariée and the Creole village of Hell-Bourg.

The main beach resort on the west coast, next to the L'Hermitage lagoon, sheltered by a coral reef.
