Lübeck Airport, also known as Lübeck-Blankensee, lies about 8 km south of the old town. Low-cost airlines marketed it for years as “Hamburg-Lübeck”, but Hamburg is more than 60 km away. Today it has only a few scheduled routes, which change from season to season, and plenty of general aviation.
