About the airport

Despite its name, Frankfurt-Hahn Airport is not in Frankfurt: it lies in the Hunsrück region (Rhineland-Palatinate), next to Lautzenhausen and about 120 km by road from the city. It is a former US air base turned low-cost airport, with Ryanair as its main airline.
