About the airport

Kassel Airport, opened in 2013 in Calden to replace the old airfield, lies about 15 km north-west of Kassel in northern Hesse. It sees very little airline traffic: besides a few seasonal holiday flights, it is used mainly by private and business aviation and flight schools.

Terminal

There is a single modern passenger terminal, very spacious for the traffic it handles, so formalities are quick.

Services

There is parking next to the terminal and a small food and drink offer. As flights are scarce, check which services are open on your travel day.
