About the airport
Amsterdam Schiphol Airport lies about 15 km south-west of central Amsterdam, in the municipality of Haarlemmermeer. It is the largest airport in the Netherlands and the home hub of KLM, with flights across Europe and to destinations worldwide.
Terminals
There is a single terminal building with three departure halls (1, 2 and 3) and several piers. Walks to the gate can be long, so allow plenty of time.

You’ll find restaurants, shops, duty free, free wifi, lounges, left luggage, currency exchange, hotels and car rental desks. The railway station is beneath Schiphol Plaza, next to arrivals.
Getting to the city
Tren (NS)
Schiphol station is beneath Schiphol Plaza. Trains run frequently to Amsterdam Centraal in about 15-20 min, and also to Utrecht, Rotterdam, The Hague and other cities.
Autobús
Urban and regional buses to Amsterdam and the surrounding area leave from the bus station at Schiphol Plaza. Check timetables and stops before you travel.
Taxi
Official taxi ranks are outside the arrivals area. Allow about 25 min to central Amsterdam, depending on traffic.
