About the airport
Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport is at Brnik, about 24 km north-west of the capital, at the foot of the Alps. It is Slovenia’s main airport, with flights by network and low-cost airlines to several European cities.
Terminals
It has a single terminal, with arrivals and departures in the same building. It is small and easy to get around, so formalities are usually quick.
Services
The terminal has cafés, shops, free wifi and car rental desks. There is no train or metro: you get to Ljubljana by regular bus, shuttle or taxi.

Bus a Liubliana / Bus to Ljubljana
A regular bus between the airport and Ljubljana bus station, taking about 45 min. It also runs to Kranj and other towns in the region.
Shuttle
Shared minibuses and transfer services link the airport with Ljubljana and with tourist destinations such as Bled; it is best to book in advance.
Taxi
Taxi rank outside arrivals. The ride to central Ljubljana, about 25 km, takes roughly 30 min.

Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, is a small, green city with a pedestrian centre along the Ljubljanica river, a castle on the hill and buildings by the architect Jože Plečnik. It is a good base for trips to Bled, the Alps and the coast.
