Airport · Geneva, Switzerland
4 km from central Geneva. Live flights, getting to town, car rental and where to stay.
Geneva Airport (Genève Aéroport) is in Cointrin, about 4 km from the city centre, right on the French border. It is Switzerland’s second-largest airport, used by city travellers, international organisations and visitors heading to Alpine ski resorts. It has a French sector, reached from France, with its own check-in and arrivals area.
There is a single main terminal, with an east wing that has extra gates. If your flight is booked through the French sector, make sure you head to the right side: it is reached by road from France and is separate from the Swiss sector.
You’ll find restaurants, shops, duty free, free wifi, lounges, left luggage, currency exchange, hotels and car rental desks. The railway station is next to the terminal.

Genève-Aéroport station is next to the terminal. Frequent trains run to Genève-Cornavin, the main station, in about 7 min, with links to other Swiss cities.
Several TPG bus and trolleybus lines link the airport with the centre and other districts. In the baggage reclaim area there are machines giving a free ticket for Geneva's public transport.
Official rank outside arrivals. Central Geneva is about 15 min away depending on traffic. For neighbouring France (Ferney-Voltaire, Annemasse, Saint-Genis), ask the fare first.
The airport's single main terminal, with departures, arrivals, shops and restaurants. It includes an east wing with extra gates: check the boards to see where your flight leaves from.
