Manas International Airport BSZ

Manas International Airport (BSZ) is Kyrgyzstan’s main gateway and serves the capital, Bishkek, about 25 km to the southeast. It is the country’s most important airport, used both by people travelling to the capital and by tourists heading for Lake Issyk-Kul and the mountains.

Terminals

Domestic and international flights are handled in a single passenger complex. Since 2025 it has been undergoing an expansion of around 18,000 m², with more check-in counters, waiting areas, lounges and dining, plus a covered walkway linking the main buildings. Some access points may change during the works, so follow the signs.

Airlines and destinations

More than 30 airlines operate here, with routes to Central Asia, Russia, China, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Regular carriers include Aeroflot, Turkish Airlines and Air China, as well as Kyrgyz airlines such as Aero Nomad and Avia Traffic Company.

Services

The airport’s official website lists a VIP lounge, Wi-Fi, ATMs, currency exchange and left luggage, as well as shops and places to eat.

Tips

The airport operates 24 hours and many flights arrive or depart in the small hours, so arrange your transfer in advance. Carry some cash in case an ATM does not accept your card, and exchange only what you need for the first day.
