Osh International Airport OSS

Osh International Airport (OSS) is about 9 km north of Osh, the main city of southern Kyrgyzstan, in the Fergana Valley. It is the country’s second-busiest airport after Manas, and handled just over 1.2 million passengers in 2016. It operates 24 hours and is the most convenient way to reach the south without crossing the mountains by road from Bishkek.

Terminals

The airport has one passenger terminal, with arrivals and departures in the same building. A new terminal designed for more than 5 million passengers a year has been under construction since February 2025, with completion planned for 2026, so the building and its access may have changed by the time you travel.

Airlines and destinations

Operators include Aeroflot, Air Arabia and other Russian and Kyrgyz carriers. The network covers domestic flights (mainly to Bishkek), routes to Russia (Moscow, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk), Central Asia (Tashkent, Almaty) and destinations such as Istanbul, Sharjah and Jeddah.

Services

The terminal has shops and places to eat. As at most airports in the region, it is a good idea to carry some cash in som.

Tips

Many international flights arrive and depart in the small hours, so arrange your transfer in advance. The flight to Bishkek is the quick alternative to the long road route between the two cities.
