London City Airport sits in the former Docklands, about 10 km east of central London. It is a small airport, popular with business travellers, with flights to European cities, including several in Spain and other nearby countries.

It has a single small terminal, with check-in, security and boarding all in one building. You spend little time in the airport, but it is still wise to respect check-in deadlines.

There are cafés, restaurants, shops, free wifi and car rental desks. The easiest way in is the DLR: the station is next to the terminal.
Getting to the city
Docklands Light Railway (DLR)
London City Airport station is right beside the terminal. The DLR links to Bank in the City, and to Canning Town (Jubilee line) and Canary Wharf; the ride to Bank takes about 20 min.

Official rank outside the terminal. It is the airport closest to the centre, about 10 km away: the trip is short but depends heavily on traffic.
