Ordu-Giresun Airport is built on an artificial island just off the Black Sea coast, between Gülyalı (Ordu) and Piraziz (Giresun). It is about 19 km from Ordu and about 25 km from Giresun, and is one of the few airports in the world built on an artificial island.
