About the airport
Sochi International Airport (AER) is in the Adler district, south-east of central Sochi and close to the Olympic Park and the Black Sea coast. It is the main airport of the Russian Black Sea resorts, was extensively renovated for the 2014 Winter Olympics, and is also the gateway to the ski resorts of Krasnaya Polyana. Since February 2022 flight operations in southern Russia have been subject to frequent temporary restrictions, so available routes and schedules depend on the restrictions in force at the time; check with your airline before travelling.
