About the airport
Sihanouk International Airport is about 20 km east of Sihanoukville, the coastal city in southern Cambodia, and is the gateway to its beaches and islands. It was built in the 1960s and reopened in 2007; today it is run by Cambodia Airports (Vinci Airports). It has a 3,300 m runway, but traffic is modest: about 93,000 passengers in 2024 and about 172,000 in 2025.

There is a single small terminal, with arrivals and departures in the same building. There are no transfers or terminal changes.
Airlines and destinations
AirAsia (Kuala Lumpur), Air Cambodia and Cambodia Airways (Siem Reap and other nearby domestic and international destinations), Sky Angkor and Ruili Airlines operate here, along with several flights to Chinese cities. The schedule has changed a lot in recent years, so check which routes are active on your dates.

Services are those of a small airport: a few cafes and shops and little more. Keep some cash on hand and don’t expect lounges or a wide choice of food.
Tips
Allow for the roughly 20 km trip to the city when planning your departure, and agree the transfer beforehand if you arrive at night. With few daily frequencies, don’t cut it fine: missing the flight can mean waiting a whole day.
