A single small terminal, with arrivals and departures under one roof. The runway is 2,000 m long. Don’t expect the offering of a big airport: this is an island airport with basic services.
Airlines and destinations
ANA connects the island daily with Tokyo Haneda. In addition, Toho Air Service runs helicopters to nearby islands such as Aogashima and Mikurajima.
Tips
On an island, weather can affect flights, so leave a buffer if you have an onward connection or an international flight from Tokyo. With a single regular destination, book early in high season and carry some yen in cash, just in case.
