Mahshahr Airport MRX

Mahshahr Airport (MRX) serves the city of Mahshahr, in Khuzestan province, in south-western Iran, close to the Persian Gulf coast. It is a small regional airport run by the Iran Airports Company, with an asphalt runway of about 2.7 km.

Terminals

There is a single small terminal, with arrivals and departures under the same roof. There are no transfers or long walks.

Airlines and destinations

It handles domestic flights only. According to the sources consulted, the airlines serving it are Karun Airlines, Pars Air and Qeshm Air. The main link is with Tehran (Mehrabad), and Karun Airlines also appears with routes to Isfahan, Mashhad and Shiraz. Frequencies are limited and the offer changes, so do not count on several options a day.

Summer temperatures in Khuzestan are very high, so plan your transfer and waiting time accordingly.
