About the airport
Khark Airport (KHK) is on Khark Island in the Persian Gulf, off Iran’s coast, a site known for its oil terminal. The airport is owned by the Ministry of Petroleum and operated by the state airports company and the air defence forces. It is a very small airport with a runway of about 1,800 metres, and it is not a tourist destination: it is used mainly to move oil-industry employees between the island and mainland cities.

There is a single small terminal, with arrivals and departures under the same roof. There are no transfers between terminals.

According to the sources we checked, flights are operated mainly by Karun Airlines and Mahan Air, and also Qeshm Air. Destinations include Tehran-Mehrabad, Isfahan, Shiraz, Ahvaz and Bushehr. These are company flights more than flights for the general public, and routes change.
