About the airport
Zahedan Airport (ZAH) lies about 6 km north-east of Zahedan, capital of Sistan and Baluchestan province in south-eastern Iran, close to the borders with Pakistan and Afghanistan. It is about 1,390 metres above sea level and has two long parallel runways. It handled around 555,000 passengers in 2017.
