Sabzevar National Airport AFZ

Sabzevar National Airport (AFZ) serves the city of Sabzevar, in Razavi Khorasan province, in north-eastern Iran. It sits at about 920 metres above sea level and has a single asphalt runway of over 3,000 metres. It is run by the Iran Airports Company. It is a small domestic airport, with traffic that, according to reports from late 2024, has been increasing.

There is a single terminal, with arrivals and departures under the same roof.

Airlines and destinations

ATA Airlines and Yazd Airways operate here, both with flights to Tehran (Mehrabad). This is the city’s usual connection to the capital.

Tips

With few frequencies, a cancelled or delayed flight may have no alternative the same day: confirm your flight with the airline before going to the airport, as schedules change often. I could not verify the terminal’s specific services, so it is wise to bring water and some cash in rials.
