About the airport
Noida International Airport (DXN), also known as Jewar Airport, is in Jewar, in Gautam Buddha Nagar district (Uttar Pradesh), south of Noida and Greater Noida and about 70 km from Delhi’s airport. It is a new airport, conceived to relieve Delhi and serve the whole capital region: the first phase was inaugurated in March 2026 and commercial flights began on 15 June 2026. There are no annual passenger figures yet.
Terminals
There is one passenger terminal (T1), large and modern, of about 100,000 m² with an initial capacity of around 12 million passengers a year. The 3,900 m runway is one of the longest in the country and allows 24-hour operations with an instrument landing system. The project is to expand in phases to around 70 million passengers, so expect construction over time.
Airlines and destinations
At launch the airport is served by IndiGo, with the largest domestic network (Bengaluru, Mumbai, Jaipur, Lucknow and Chandigarh, among others), and Akasa Air, with flights to Bengaluru, Kolkata and Mumbai. The offer is growing, so check the available routes before booking.
Services
As a new facility, the range of services is still being completed. Check the official website for what is open on your travel date.
Tips
Access is mainly by road, along the Yamuna Expressway; metro and rapid rail links are planned, but do not count on them yet. Plan your travel time carefully from Delhi or Noida, as it depends heavily on traffic, and do not confuse this airport with Delhi’s when booking.
Getting to the city
Taxi
Prepaid taxi counters are often available inside the terminal, or ride-hailing apps can be used outside; agree the fare in advance if not metered.
