Amravati Airport AVR

Amravati Airport is in Belora, about 15 km south of the city, in the state of Maharashtra. It is a small airport and very new to commercial service: scheduled flights began on 16 April 2025. Around 13,700 passengers passed through between April 2025 and March 2026.

Terminals

There is a single terminal of about 2,600 m², with arrivals and departures in the same building. The runway is 1,850 metres long and night operations are still pending approval and funding.

Airlines and destinations

The only scheduled route is Alliance Air to Mumbai. With a single flight, there is no same-day alternative if you miss it.

Tips

Since night landings are not yet possible, flights are daytime only; keep that in mind if you are connecting to another flight. Air India plans to set up a large pilot training school here. Don’t expect the shops and restaurants of a large airport; arrange your transfer from Amravati in advance.
