Agatti Airport AGX

Agatti Airport is on Agatti island, in the Lakshadweep territory, off India’s west coast. It is the archipelago’s only airstrip, opened in 1988 and is run by the Airports Authority of India. In fiscal year 2024-25 it handled about 117,000 passengers, and the 2025-26 figures (about 137,000) are still rising.

Terminals

There is a single, very small terminal, sized for about 50 passengers at peak times. The asphalt runway is about 1,200 m long, so only small or mid-sized aircraft use it.

Airlines and destinations

Alliance Air (Bengaluru and Kochi), IndiGo (Bengaluru, Kochi and Kozhikode) and Fly91 (Kochi and other destinations) operate here. All are domestic flights from the mainland.

Services

Services are minimal, as you would expect from a terminal of this scale. Don’t expect lounges or large retail areas.
