Airport · Jaipur, India
0 km from central Jaipur. Live flights, getting to town, car rental and where to stay.
Jaipur International Airport (JAI) is in Sanganer, about 10 km south of the centre of Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. It is the state’s main airport and a gateway to the so-called Golden Triangle; between April 2025 and March 2026 it handled around 5.6 million passengers and ranks 13th in India by daily scheduled flights.
There are two terminals on opposite sides of the runway. T1 is used only for international flights and was expanded between 2018 and 2024 with Rajasthani-inspired architecture. T2, opened in 2009, is the domestic terminal. Check which one your flight uses before you set off.
Domestic carriers include IndiGo, Air India Express, SpiceJet and Akasa Air, with routes to Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad and Kolkata, among others. International flights go to Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Muscat and Bangkok.
Specific services (lounges, left luggage, currency exchange) vary, so check with the airport or your airline before counting on them.
The airport has a CAT III-B system for low-visibility operations, which is why it takes diversions of flights hit by winter fog in northern India. If you travel between December and February, allow extra time for possible delays. T1 and T2 are separate, so be clear which one you need when booking a taxi.
Prepaid taxi counters are often available inside the terminal, or ride-hailing apps can be used outside; agree the fare in advance if not metered.
A shuttle or public bus connects the airport with the centre of Jaipur, timed around flights.
A single passenger terminal, with arrivals and departures in the same building, with shops and places to eat. It handles mainly domestic flights, with some international routes.
