Kandla Airport IXY

Kandla Airport (IXY) is in the Anjar area, about 7.5 km northwest of Gandhidham and roughly 20 km northwest of Kandla, in the Kutch district of Gujarat. It is a very small regional airport run by the Airports Authority of India, serving mainly the port and industrial area of Kandla and Gandhidham. Between April 2025 and March 2026 it handled around 30,000 passengers.

Terminals

There is a single, small terminal building with room for around 100 passengers at a time. Arrivals and departures share the same building, so there is no moving between terminals.

Airlines and destinations

Service has been on and off: there have been long stretches with no scheduled flights at all. Currently the only airline operating is SpiceJet, with flights to Mumbai. With so little service, schedules can change, so confirm your flight before planning the rest of your trip.

Services

This is a very modest airport, so do not expect a wide choice of shops or restaurants, and bring the essentials with you.

Tips

The airport is a few kilometres from Gandhidham and farther still from Kandla, so allow plenty of time for the transfer. If your final destination is elsewhere in Kutch, check the road distance first.
