Nanded Airport NDC

Nanded Airport (NDC), officially Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Airport, serves Nanded, in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra. It is named after the tenth Sikh guru because Nanded is an important Sikh pilgrimage site, with the Hazur Sahib temple, and a good part of its traffic is made up of pilgrims and people visiting family. It is a small regional airport, but busier than it looks: about 147,000 passengers between April 2025 and March 2026, 13% more than the previous year. It opened to commercial flights in 2008.

Terminals

There is a single small terminal, with departures and arrivals in the same building and no transfers. The runway is 2,300 m long, enough for aircraft the size of a Boeing 737 or an Airbus A320.

Airlines and destinations

The key airline is Star Air, for which Nanded is one of its most important bases. With it you can fly to cities such as Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune, Nagpur, Ahmedabad and Goa (Mopa). Service is domestic and may change from one season to the next, so confirm that your route operates on your date.

Do not expect the services of a large airport: this is a small terminal designed for a few flights a day. Take care of any specific need (food, currency exchange, luggage) in the city before you go.

Tips

In a region with few commercial airports, Nanded is a practical alternative to the train or road for anyone heading to Hazur Sahib or the Marathwada area. With few flights a day, arrive about two hours before a domestic flight and check your flight time with the airline before leaving, as it can vary.
