About the airport
Kurnool Airport, officially Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy Airport, is in Orvakal, about 18 km from the city of Kurnool, right on National Highway 40 in Andhra Pradesh. It is very recent: built on roughly 1,000 hectares, it opened to commercial flights on 28 March 2021. The name honours a 19th-century freedom fighter. It is a small regional airport designed for turboprops such as the ATR 72, with little traffic: about 20,500 passengers in the 2025-26 fiscal year.

There is a single terminal, with its own control tower and a runway of about 2,000 m. Departures and arrivals share one building, so there are no transfers or distances to work out.
