About the airport
Parsabad-Moghan is the airport of Parsabad, in Ardabil Province in north-western Iran, close to the border with Azerbaijan. It serves the agricultural Moghan plain and is a small regional airport with a single runway of about 2.6 km and very little traffic. For most travellers it is the air link to Tehran; the alternative is a long road journey to Ardabil or other cities in the north-west.
