Bilaspur Airport PAB

Bilaspur Airport (also known as Bilasa Devi Kevat Airport) is in Chakarbhata, about 10 km south of Bilaspur city in Chhattisgarh. It began life in 1942 as a Royal Indian Air Force station and today is a small regional airport with a single runway of roughly 1,500 metres. Regular commercial flights resumed in March 2021 and traffic is modest: around 36,000 passengers between April 2025 and March 2026.

Terminals

There is a single terminal, with arrivals and departures under one roof. It is a small building, so there are no transfers or long walks to plan for: you go from the taxi to security very quickly.

Airlines and destinations

The usual operator is Alliance Air, with connections to Delhi, Kolkata and Prayagraj. Some of these routes have been temporarily suspended in the past, so check that your flight is still scheduled before booking accommodation or transfers. The airport is aimed at travellers heading to Bilaspur and the surrounding area, and at anyone who wants to avoid the many hours by road or rail to Raipur, the state capital and the region’s main air gateway.

Services

This is a small, domestic-only terminal: do not expect a wide choice of shops or restaurants, and bring what you need for the journey. If you want a proper meal or somewhere to stay, the city is the more practical option.

Tips

With only a few flights a day, the airport comes to life only around each departure. Allow enough time for check-in and security, and confirm the schedule with the airline a few days ahead and again on the day of travel, as changes and cancellations are more common at low-frequency airports.
