About the airport
Khajuraho Airport is about 3 km south of Khajuraho village in Madhya Pradesh, and has existed since 1978 precisely to give access to the UNESCO World Heritage temples. It is run by the Airports Authority of India (AAI). It is a small tourist airport: in the 2025-26 fiscal year it handled about 55,000 passengers.

There is a single terminal, with a new building opened in January 2016 and two boarding bridges. Arrivals and departures share the same building.
