Rewa Airport, Chorhata, REWA REW

Rewa Airport is in Chorhata, about 11 km from the centre of Rewa, in Madhya Pradesh. Until recently it was a state-owned airstrip; in December 2022 the state government handed it to the Airports Authority of India, which expanded it (about 300 crore rupees and 290 acres) and received DGCA approval in September 2024. It is a recent addition: Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the new terminal building on 20 October 2024, and it is the state’s sixth operational airport. It has an 1,800-metre runway and handled about 20,700 passengers between April 2025 and March 2026.

Terminals

There is a single, small terminal, with arrivals and departures in the same building. There are no transfers or long distances.

Airlines and destinations

Alliance Air operates flights to Bhopal, Delhi, Kolkata and Raipur; IndiGo has a daily flight to Indore since December 2025; and Flyola serves Bhopal and Jabalpur. Because service is recent and changes easily, check your route is still operating before booking.

Services

This is a small, new airport: do not expect a wide choice of shops and restaurants. Bring what you need for the journey; the city has hotels and shops.

Tips

The airport links a part of the Vindhya region that used to be far from the big cities. Allow time for check-in and plan the 11 km transfer to the centre carefully, especially if your flight leaves early.
