Lilabari North Lakhimpur Airport IXI

Lilabari Airport is about 8 km north of North Lakhimpur, in the state of Assam, in northeast India. It is run by the Airports Authority of India and opened to civil flights in 2003. It serves the North Lakhimpur area and the hills of neighbouring Arunachal Pradesh. It is very small: in the 2025-26 fiscal year about 13,000 passengers used it.

Terminals

There is a single small terminal, with arrivals and departures under the same roof. The runway, about 2,300 m long, has lighting for night landings.

Airlines and destinations

The airline flying here is Alliance Air, with connections to Guwahati, Kolkata, Shillong and Tezpur. Flights are few and can change or be suspended, so check the schedule with the airline before planning your trip.

Tips

This is an airport with hardly any services: bring whatever you need for the journey. Depending on how the schedule changes, the road trip of several hours to Guwahati or Tezpur may sometimes be the alternative. Arrive in good time and keep your ID at hand.
